Required Equipment

Each adjuster is expected to arrive at the Catastrophe Site, fully equipped and prepared to begin handling claims.

Following is a list of the minimum requirements for handling claims. You may adjust your equipment inventory to suit your particular needs:

  • Copy of license for State you are working in and passport type photo
  • Dependable vehicle
  • Computer with estimating software pre-loaded and all software necessary to complete PDF packaging and processing
  • Wireless internet capability
  • Printer/copier/scanner
  • Pens, pencils, paper, etc.
  • Ladder. Minimum 14’ access. Two story ladders must be provided by you
  • Digital Camera and proper equipment to load to your computer for processing
  • Proper clothing. Absolutely no shorts, flip flops or T-shirts. Please dress comfortably but professionally
  • Measuring devices; 25-30’ hand tape measure, 100’ tape measure. Rolling wheel devices are not recommended for roof measurements
  • It is suggested that you have back-up equipment as you deem necessary. You are required to replace/repair damaged equipment as soon as possible to avoid any delay in processing your claim files
  • Roofing Chalk. Pitch gauge. Read/Write CDs
  • Reliable Phone
